PIETRO BEMBO E L'INVENZIONE DEL RINASCIMENTO
Esposti a Palazzo del Monte di Pietà i capolavori che il Bembo riunì nella sua casa di Padova. Letterato, mecenate e creatore della lingua italiana che parliamo ancora oggi, Pietro Bembo fu inventore, con Aldo Manuzio, dei libri di tascabili piccolo formato che, lontani dagli ingombranti tomi universitari, diventarono dei veri oggetti di "design" ambitissimi dai giovani alla moda dell’epoca. Dopo 500 anni saranno riuniti per la prima volta le opere meravigliose degli artisti di cui Bembo fu amico e di cui si circondò nella sua casa di Padova, in via Altinate, dando vita al primo "museo" del Rinascimento.

PIETRO BEMBO AND THE INVENTION OF THE RENAISSANCE
Exhibited at Monte di Pietà Palace the masterpieces that Bembo gathered at his home in Padua. Scholar, maecenas and creator of the Italian language that we speak today, Pietro Bembo was the inventor, with Aldus Manutius, of the pocket books that, differently from the bulky academic tomes, became true objects of "design" coveted by the up to date youngs of the moment. After 500 years will be reunited for the first time the wonderful works of artists whose Bembo was a friend and that he surrounded himself at his home in Padua, in Altinate street, creating the first "museum" of the Renaissance.
