Come hanno operato gli uomini di teatro che hanno tentato il restauro (o meglio la reinvenzione) della commedia dell'arte a Venezia nel dopoguerra?

Gli uomini del teatro veneziano hanno seguito calli diverse, approdando a risultati stilisticamente assai lontani ma intrinsecamente assai vicini, che in un modo o nell'altro continuano ancora oggi a dare dei frutti.

Nel grande calderone nel quale è stato cucinato il revival della commedia dell'arte molti cuochi hanno aggiunto un tocco personale indispensabile alla riuscita del piatto finale: Giovanni Poli ci ha messo il sapore forte dello studio serio e filologico, i Carrara la sobrietà della tradizione, il TAG la spezia dell'innovazione e il gusto del pastiche, Amleto Sartori la manualità dell'artista. Sono questi i quattro temi principali dei quali si occupa questo lavoro, anche se la lente mette a fuoco soprattutto la storia del TAG Teatro.

How worked the people of theatre who attempted the restoration (or reinvention) of the commedia dell'arte in Venice after the second world war?

The venetians men of theatre followed different streets, arriving at results stylistically very far but intrinsically very close, which in one way or another still continue today to give fruits.

In the great melting pot in which it was cooked the revival of the commedia dell'arte, many cooks have added a personal touch, that was essential to the success of the final dish: Giovanni Poli gave us the strong taste of serious and philological study, the Carrara the sobriety of tradition, TAG Theatre the spice of innovation and the taste for pastiche, Amleto Sartori the craftsmanship of the artisan.These are the four main themes of this work, even if the lens focuses primarily the history of TAG Theatre.
